Reading Timer does not track you, does not use advertising cookies, and does not require an account or your email address. Everything you do on this site stays right in your browser.
What We Store on Your Device
To remember your preferences across visits, we save a few simple settings in your browser's local storage:
- Your chosen timer duration (e.g. 20 or 25 minutes)
- Your selected theme and clock style
- Your current reading streak count
- Your session page counter count
- Your ambient sound preference and volume
This information never leaves your phone, tablet, or computer. We do not have access to it, and we cannot see what you are reading.
Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics to view anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics (such as overall page views and general visitor regions) to help us improve the timer. We do not run advertising pixels, and we do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers.
Offline Storage & App Cache
If you install Reading Timer as an app or use it offline, your browser caches the static web files (HTML, CSS, sounds) so the timer can run without an internet connection.
