The Story
We love reading, but our phones wouldn't leave us alone. Every time we tried to use a standard phone timer to set aside 20 minutes of reading, notifications popped up, social media was just one tap away, and the harsh buzzer alarm ruined the peaceful atmosphere.
We built Reading Timer to create an online sanctuary for book lovers: a warm, minimal timer with gentle chimes, ambient rain and cafe sounds, and zero distractions.
What We Believe In
- No accounts: You don't need a password or login to read a book.
- No tracking: Your reading habits and streaks stay right on your device.
- Gentle design: No loud buzzers or flashing banners.
- Always free: Made for readers, students, and teachers everywhere.
Who We Are
Reading Timer is built and maintained by book lovers and developers at PlantPomo. We build simple, peaceful digital tools that respect human attention.
